The Battle Muffins are primarily a dining club. Members meet on the second Thursday evening of each month, usually at The White Hart pub in Catsfield, where the occasion lends itself to an excellent social evening around a meal and guest speaker.
We also hold special events for members and guests. We are often asked to help at events in and around Battle, for example by marshalling, setting up stalls or helping at other charitable events.
Club funds are raised by a collection in the Charity Muffin Bell circulated during the monthly meal, and by other social events and fund raising activities.
Surpluses get transferred into a charity account from which donations to local organisations and individuals are made. In the last year we have managed to donate in excess of £7,000 to such local good causes.
